JACOB M. JIVIDEN

Jacob practices in the areas of criminal law and civil litigation. His range of cases includes practice before multiple Common Pleas Courts, the Superior and Supreme Courts, as well as the federal district and circuit courts.

Jacob is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and a minor in Spanish. Jacob earned his Juris Doctorate in 2001 from the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

From 2001 through 2003, Jacob was an associate at McLain Law Offices, P.C., located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. While there, Jacob’s primary focus was civil litigation, handling numerous cases ranging from custody and support to medical malpractice and personal injury.

In 2003, Jacob joined the Monroe County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. Jacob prosecuted hundreds of cases from the preliminary hearing through trial. His cases involved all types of crimes, from driving under the influence to criminal homicide.

Jacob is familiar with the law and procedure behind all felony and misdemeanor crimes. Jacob is also familiar with lesser offenses such as traffic violations, underage drinking, harassment and disorderly conduct. He has been the lead prosecutor in multiple jury trials and has argued appellate cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Jacob is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania State and the United States Middle District Federal Courts. He is a member of the Pennsylvania State, and Cumberland, Dauphin, and York County Bar Associations. He is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Association of Trial Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
